The mythical café on the Place Saint-Germain-des-Prés embodies the spirit of the village: festivities, gourmet food and literature.

Some evening in Paris, you want to go out and relax. Head for Saint-Germain-des-Prés, a promise of an escape with Parisian elegance. And if Saint-Germain could be summed up in a single address, it would undoubtedly be Les Deux Magots. The spirit of the Germanopratin village is concentrated in this house of perpetual renewal: the pleasures of the food, the intellectual effervescence and the rhythm of the jazz music!

What if the night started with some seafood? This is a great new addition to the restaurant, which now offers platters of oysters, prawns and other shellfish.
A fresh iodine wind blows on the place in the evening, in autumn and in winter.

It’s Thursday and it’s party night at Les Deux Magots. As every week, a jazz trio plays live for the customers.
The café thus reconnects with the history of Saint-Germain-des-Prés, the second home of jazz after the United States. The walls breathe joie-de-vivre and time stands still: with Les Jeudis du Jazz (Jazz Thursdays), it swings at Les Deux Magots! One then thinks of Boris Vian, jazzman and writer, perfect link between music and literature, darlings of the House with poetry. We would have gladly crossed paths with Vian at the Lundi des Écrivains (Writers’ Monday), the not-to-be-missed literary event organised with the help of Lire magazine and the bookshop La Procure.

Here we are on a sunny Sunday morning and what better way to wake up than with a brunch at Les Deux Magots? On the terrace-garden, the sweets follow one another with, in particular, the famous Marine brunch with Petrossian products and the famous homemade hot chocolate, the smoothest in Paris. How do you say “hedonism” in Germanopratin?
The icing on the cake is that it happens like this every week at Les Deux Magots.
A true institution in the world of literature, the mythical café will celebrate the 90th anniversary of its prestigious Prix des Deux Magots next year.

Treat yourself to the Deux Magots!

This experience of Germanopratine life can be enjoyed with friends or family. It is indeed possible to privatise part of the café, on request, from breakfast to dinner, including the gourmet break in the afternoon. And the good news is that there are many possibilities for privatisation, so you can enjoy a mythical interlude!
