The indefatigable, the Andy Warhol of fashion, Karl Lagerfeld, is coming to the beach this summer.

Chanel is not included in this summer outing since the creator is designing for his own label together with the luxury swimwear brand Vilebrequin, a capsule collection of swimwear, beach clothing and accessories, terribly fashion. Eight pieces make up this wardrobe, available from May in the stores of both brands. Since it is a Limited Edition, the admirers of Karl will flock to the Lagerfeld flagship store on boulevard Saint-Germain to get a lace-up bikini, swimming shorts, a belted tunic, a beach towel or a zip-up bag. Men are also catered for with a polo shirt and two styles of swim shorts: one with a flat belt, the other inspired by the classic silhouettes of the 1970s. The dominant colour is azure blue, accompanied by white and black. The collection is also available at the Vilebrequin store at rue du Vieux-Colombier. The prices of the different pieces of this collection range from €60 to €210 and are sure to make a splash on the beaches of St. Tropez, home turf for Vilebrequin. On each item, the profile of Karl Lagerfeld, recognizable among a thousand (glasses, collar up, ponytail), appears discreetly, except on the towel where it takes up the entire surface. Lie on Karl? A possibility this summer…
